Mad Libs Poetry

This month, 8 of our poets competed in a Mad Libs competition. They were given a poem with a bunch of words removed and encouraged to fill in the blanks to create a new version. The original poem, written by Allie McFarland, played with form by having a title that was longer than its contents.

The winner of the competition was Grace! You can read her version below, and you can try your own hand at a Mad Lib poem with the blank version at the bottom of the page.
